Friday Blog

Friday's qualifying at the Northwest Nationals was washed out just as the Alcohol session was about to begin. A small sprinkle turned into a 5 hour rain event that stopped the show for the day.Saturday's Alcohol session is scheduled for around 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. The air here was cool  and greay baromter we were calculating about 700 Ft  elevation all day.Tommorow should be outstanding for all the teams.

Denver Race blog Friday

Well it was 90 degree's Fahrenheit on Friday wiith 9000 ft of air which probably chops out about 300 to 400 horsepower. The mighty Jim Whitely apparently does not agree with this statement as Team Whynot  set the track record again with a 5.44 @266 mph to take up the number 1 spot.Greg Hunter currently fills in the number 2 position with a respectable 5.71. The Racepack Computer says we still have some room for improvement, so today will be a opportunity. The Why-Not team is Red Hot,good on them!

Denver Regional race 2013 year 2

Well, team Gilmour and the Exactair dragster have been off for over 2 month's and it feels like 2 years. We were hoping to compete at the Kansas Nationals in Topeka a few weeks ago, but scheduling conflicts kept us out of this race. This weekend will be our second year for a NHRA Regional event at Bandimere Raceway.Again we will be doing battle with the formidable World Champion Jim Whitley. The weather forecast will be mid 80's so the relative air density will be about 9000 ft.
